Antioxidants
Among forty fruits (including strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackcurrants), pomegranate is at the top of the list related to content of antioxydants.The main antioxidants found in pomegranate are flavonoids (particularly anthocyanins), tannins and acid ellagiques. Anthocyanins give the grenade its red color.

Scientists in Lausanne have demonstrated the anti-aging power of pomegranate juice, in a study in the edition of Tuesday, July 12 2016 in the journal "Nature Medicine".
